Momotaro - The journey - Chapter 2
After Momotaro had been walking for a while he started to think: 👁 How can I defeat the Oni all by myself? 👁 When Momotaro was walking through the fields deep in thought , suddenly a big dog appeared right in front of him , wagging its tail. 👁 "Where are you going? 👁 Asked the dog. 👁 "To Oni's island , to fight the Oni." 👁 Replied the boy. 👁 "Give me one of your dangos and I'll come along with you!" 👁 Said the dog. 👁 Momotaro gave him a dango and the dog became his companion. 👁 After the two had travelled together for a while, suddenly a small monkey jumped down a tree at the wayside. 👁 "Where are you going? 👁 Asked the monkey. 👁 "To Oni's island , to fight the Oni." 👁 Replied the boy. 👁 "Give me one of your dangos and I'll come along with you!" 👁 Said the monkey. 👁 Momotaro gave him a dango and the monkey became his companion. 👁 As the three friends walked through a valley together, suddenly a bright coloured pheasant jumped out of a bush. 👁 "Where are you going? 👁 Asked the pheasant. 👁 "To Oni's island , to fight the Oni. 👁 Replied the boy. 👁 "Give me one of your dangos and I'll come along with you!" 👁 Said the pheasant. 👁 Momotaro gave him a dango and the pheasant became his companion. 👁 The four friends took seat under a tree in the shade and ate their dango. 👁 Momotaro had shared his dango and got three companions in return who would help him on his adventure. 👁 The friends continued their journey and after a while they reached the shore of a large lake. 👁 The pheasant flew over the water. 👁 When it came Back it said: 👁 "In the distance I saw the island where the Oni live! 👁 Momotaro gathered wood and built a boat. 👁 Then the friends began to row towards Oni's island. 👁
