The Brave Little Tailor – Chapter 3
The King's Order
After his encounter with the giants, the tailor continued his journey and eventually reached the castle of a neighbouring kingdom. 👁
He lay down right beside the castle walls, watched the clouds go by, and eventually fell asleep. 👁
He was awakened by the voices of the royal guards who had noticed the writing on his belt. 👁
"Seven in a single strike." 👁
they said. 👁
"This must be a mighty warrior. 👁
We need to tell the king." 👁
As the king heard of his power, he became afraid and thought about how to get rid of the tailor. 👁
Sending his guards would be too dangerous. 👁
The king feared that he could be killed or lose his entire kingdom. 👁
So he made the plan to hire the tailor and send him on a mission that he couldn't survive. 👁
The king ordered the tailor to kill two giants that were causing trouble in his kingdom and had already attacked a few villages. 👁
As a reward, the king offered him the hand of his beautiful daughter and half of his kingdom. 👁
The tailor was very pleased and accepted the offer. 👁
Accompanied by a hundred warriors of the king's army, the tailor set out to face the giants. 👁
As he reached the forest where the giants lived, he didn't have to search long to find their tracks. 👁
The giants were sleeping under a tree and snorted loudly. 👁
The king's warriors were afraid and refused to go any further, so the tailor let them stay in their camp and went on alone. 👁
The tailor picked up some stones and climbed the tree. 👁
When he was sitting on a branch right above them, he threw a stone at one of the giants. 👁
The giant awoke and angrily yelled at his comrade: 👁
"Hey, why are you hitting me?" 👁
The other giant answered: 👁
"I didn't hit you, you must have been dreaming." 👁
The two kept on arguing for a while and then went to sleep again. 👁
After a while, the other giant was struck by a stone from above, and they kept arguing until both pulled out a tree and struck each other so hard that they fell to the ground, dead. 👁
Before the tailor returned to the king, he climbed down the tree, took his sword and hit the two giants on their chests. 👁
Then he called his companions, who could hardly believe what they saw. 👁
The tailor seemed to have killed both of them with his sword. 👁
