Baba Jaga – The hunt – Chapter 4
Baba Jaga ran towards the gate. 👁 "Why did you let the girl pass? 👁 Why didn't you block her way and not even squeak to wake me up?" 👁 "I've been serving you for many years now but not once have you taken care of me. 👁 The girl was kind to me and oiled my hinges. 👁 Now I can open without any trouble." 👁 Baba Jaga turned towards the birch tree. 👁 "Why didn't you catch her with your branches? 👁 Why didn't you scratch her face?" 👁 "I've been serving you for many years now but not once have you paid me any attention. 👁 The girl was kind to me and decorated me with a beautiful band." 👁 The witch became even more angry and called for her maiden. 👁 "Why didn't you call for me when the girl tried to escape? 👁 Why didn't you hold her back?" 👁 "I've been serving you for many years now but not once have you said a kind word to me. 👁 The girl was kind and gave me a scarf." 👁 Replied the maiden. 👁 Baba Jaga used her magic on her house, and suddenly it started to move. 👁 Walking on its chicken legs, it carried the witch in the direction the girl had gone. 👁 The girl ran as fast as she could, while listening for any sign of the witch. 👁 When she heard the sound of cracking twigs behind her, the girl took the comb and threw it to the ground. 👁 Suddenly a dense forest appeared where it had landed. 👁 Baba Jaga couldn't pass because her house was too big to fit through. 👁 The girl continued her way through the forest and after a while, she heard signs of the witch again. 👁 Now, she threw the towel on the ground, as she was told by the cat. 👁 Suddenly a deep river appeared at the spot it had landed. 👁 Baba Jaga couldn't pass since the current was too strong and so the girl finally made it out of the forest. 👁 When the girl came home, her father was glad to see her. 👁 He had been very worried. 👁 She told him everything that happened. 👁 When the father realized that her new wife was trying to kill his daughter, he took a broom and drove her out of the house. 👁 The girl and her father lived happily ever after. 👁 THE END
